James M. Schopf Papers 1965-1992

The James Schopf Papers consists of primarily 35mm slides (4756) taken in Antarctica over the course of several research trips to the continent, some under the auspices of the US Geological Survey as well as OSU's Institute of Polar Studies (now called the Byrd Polar Research Center). There is a small quantity of notes and published materials within the collection. James Schopf died in 1978; thus materials dated 1979-1992 can be attributed to James Schopf's wife, Esther.
